The Casey Barn proudly stands sentinel just South of the village in KLT's Southern Gateway Preserve, a reminder of Kent's agricultural heritage.

The East Kent Hamlet Nature Preserve is well known as the former site of the Girl Scouts' Camp Francis and features lakeside and woodland trails. 

The Nature Conservancy's Iron Mountain Preserve in South Kent features a "lollipop loop" trail of 1.5 miles through varied habitat, old orchards and charcoal mounds.
